Our history
Creating Careers began life in 1999. In May 2000, the team quickly took advantage of a market opportunity that arose to deliver e-learning via the FE sector to individuals interested in learning and personal development.
Following an intensive period of new product development and working in association with a national awarding body NCFE, and with a technology partner TNL, vision2learn, the UK’s first and only complete, integrated and accredited e-learning service designed specifically to satisfy the Further Education (FE) sector in England, was launched in November 2001. In 2004 Creating Careers acquired TNL.
Since launch vision2learn has registered over 480,000 learners. The site receives over 1.4 million hits annually. This represents a significant community of learners and individuals with an interest in learning and development. In 2006 we branched into the secondary schools post-14 market with vision2learn for schools. Over 38,000 learners in more than 450 secondary schools are currently working with vision2learn for schools and achieving outstanding results.
We are proud to be the UK’s first online provider of the Edexcel WorkSkills suite of ‘bitesize’, work-related BTEC units. We’ve also used our years of experience in creating flexible e-learning solutions to develop v-Portfolio – a web-based e-portfolio. It can be used by anyone who needs a web-based system for delivering and storing evidence relating to competence-based qualifications, including learners, tutors, teachers, assessors and employers.
